The after school study hours will be in the LMC until 6:00pm.

7th hour Civic Leadership class is having a drive for soldiers across seas. Operation Care Package is looking for necessities for living such as food, games, and hygiene items. There are going to be prizes awarded to the 7th hour class that can collect the most points. First place will receive a pizza party. Second place will receive an ice cream party and third place will receive candy bars. Check posters to see what items you can bring. The Civic Leadership class will be going around collecting items during 7th hour. You have till November 12 to bring your items.

Drama Club: There will be a meeting tomorrow during lunch in Room 120. Please bring your lunch.

The Drama Team will be performing its one-act play “On the Edge” Tuesday, Nov. 6, at 7:00 pm, in the PAC.  Prior to the show will be the Drama Club’s annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser with serving from 5 – 6:45 pm in the commons.  Tickets will be sold at the door for the cost of $8 for dinner and show or $5 for show only.  Come on out and support this amazing group as they set their sights on returning to State!

Attention All Volleyball Players and Managers: Volleyball Banquet will be Thursday-November 8th at Romy’s.  Pick up a form from either the office or Coach Bronstad. Return Banquet form with payment to the High School Office by Friday-November 2nd.

Connie Jordan, a career coach from NWTC, will be in Student Services on Friday, November 2 to help students fill out applications to NWTC.  The application fee will be waived on this day.  She will also be available to meet with students who are interested in learning more about specific programs and what NWTC has to offer.  Please see your counselor to sign up for a time.

 

The Professional Insurance Agents of Wisconsin is sponsoring a scholarship if you are majoring in insurance or related field of study.  Please stop in Student Services for information on both of these opportunities.

 

Students:  A babysitter is wanted for an occasional Friday or Saturday night.  Couple has a 1 and 3 year old.  Would like you to have own transportation and certified in CPR.  Please stop in Student Services for more information.

 

Students:  Whispering Pines is looking for students 15 years and older to help with harvesting Christmas trees and boughs.  Please see the Student Services bulletin board for information.

 

Seniors:  The following scholarships are due:

11-2: National Landscape Professionals

11-4: Herb Kohl

If you have any questions please stop in Student Services and please make sure you stop in for more scholarship opportunities.

 

Juniors & Seniors:  UW Oshkosh will have a representative in Student Services on Tuesday, October 30th during 2nd hour.  Please sign up if interested.

 

Juniors & Seniors:  FIRE is sponsoring a Free Speech Essay Contest.  You must submit a 800-1000 word essay on why free speech is so important to higher education.

 

Seniors:  If you need help completing the FAFSA, College Goal Wisconsin can help.  They will be holding numerous sessions throughout this month and November which is free of charge.  Please stop in Student Services for dates and information needed to bring.

 

Seniors:  Please remember to hand in your yellow Permission to Release Form in order to have your transcripts sent out.
