Students: The LMC will be open until 6:00 pm.
The Golf Coaches Association of Wisconsin recently announced that Kate Pytleski, Kenadee Seidl, Kloeigh Seidl, and Taylor Miller from Oconto Falls High School earned Academic All-State honors for the recently concluded fall 2022 girls’ golf season. Congratulations to these students on receiving this much-deserved recognition!
Students: Cheer Tryouts for Winter Season will be held on November 2 and 3 in the Old Gym from 3:45 – 5:30. Please see Coach Kruse with any questions.
Science Club is hosting a Halloween dress-up contest. Dress up in your best school-appropriate Halloween costume. Prizes for 1, 2, and 3 places will be given. On Monday (Halloween), Your first-hour teacher will take the nominated best costume for your class. Then during Flex, you will vote from the nominated list! Additionally, you will vote on our staff’s best costume. Costumes must be “school appropriate” in terms of modesty and body coverage; they may not include any type of prop that resembles a weapon, and masks may need to be removed at times at the discretion of the staff. Happy Halloween!
Football Players- The football banquet will be on Sunday, November 6th at 6:00 pm. It is open to all football players in Grades 9-12. Please pick up a form in Coach Bohl’s room and return it by Friday, November 4th. The cost for dinner is $14 dollars per person. Please see Coach Bohl if you have any questions.
There will be an informational meeting on Tuesday, November 1 at 3:30 pm in Room 119 for the new Ice Fishing Team. Anyone interested in joining the team should attend. If you plan on participating in a winter sport, you can still join the team.
Dance Team Tryouts for Winter Season will be held on Monday, October 31 from 3:45-6:00 in the Fieldhouse. No previous experience is necessary! If you are interested in trying out or want more information, please stop by Mrs. Bohl’s classroom.
Seniors: If you plan to apply for The Lioness Scholarship, the required Avenue of Lights participation is right around the corner. Decorating is Saturday, Nov. 5, and then intermittently after that until the lighting ceremony on November 26. Please stop in Student Services for information.
Hey, Panther Fans! Is anyone interested in being a Manager for the Boys’ Basketball team? You can earn a varsity letter and help out your team! Please let Mr. Rickert or Mrs. Nielsen know and they will give you all the information. Practice starts on Monday, November 14th. GO PANTHERS!
The OFHS Kindness Committee would like to thank everyone for a generous round of donations yesterday for the Pulaski burn victims. The total so far is $205.25 with the seniors currently in the lead. There will be one more round of collections happening during our next homeroom on Wednesday, November 9th. If you would like to donate money between now and then, the buckets are located in student services for you to donate during a convenient time. A staff bucket has also been added!
A US Navy representative will be in the commons during lunch today. If interested stop by their table.
FBLA will be hosting its 2nd chapter meeting on Thursday, November 6th during flex. We ask that members sign into Mrs. Tate’s flex to attend.
Students – this is a reminder that the end of the 1st quarter is next week Friday, November 4, and all missing work needs to be submitted by next Wednesday, November 2. Please talk to your teachers if you have any questions about your work or grades. Students – let’s finish the quarter well!
